Use of master boxes at reception
Table of contents
During the goods receiving process, you can use a Master Checkout to register multiple products with a single scan. The system will automatically identify the products and their quantities, streamlining the entry of goods into the warehouse.
💡 If you have not yet configured your Master Boxes on the platform, please first check the article Master Boxes: Definition and configuration.
Prerequisites
Before scanning a MasterCard at the front desk, make sure you have completed the following steps:
- Have the receiving orders selected and active.
- See scanned warehouse area where you are.
Step by step
1. Access to the box detail
From the receiving list, select the box you wish to process.
The system will display the expected products with their information:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name / SKU | Product identifier. |
| Barcode | Code associated with the product. |
| Expected quantity | Units that should be in the box. |
| Amount received | Units already registered so far. |

2. Scan the Master Box code
Uses the bar code reader or the device camera (“Scan” button) to read the Master Box code.
The system will automatically verify the code:
| Result | System action |
|---|---|
| It is a Master Box | A modal will open with the details of the products contained. |
| Not a Master Box | The code will be processed as an individual product (normal scanning). |

Product validation
Before opening the modal, the system verifies that all the products in the Master Carton exist in the product list of the current cart.
If any product is missing:
- A warning mode will appear “Products Not Found” with the list of missing products (Variant ID, SKU and barcode).
- You should close the modal and verify that you are processing the correct box, or scan a different Master Box.

If all products exist:
- The main mode of the Master Box will open.
4. Review the content in the modal
The Master Box modal displays the following information:
- Master Box Name at the top.
- List of products, with:
- Product image.
- Name and SKU.
- Quantity contained in the box.
- State of dimensions (if applicable).
Verify that the information matches the physical contents of the box before proceeding.

5. Verify the dimensions of the products
The system validates that all products have their dimensions recorded (length, width, height and weight).
| State | Indicator | Action required |
|---|---|---|
| Complete dimensions | Green mark ✓ | None, you may continue. |
| Incomplete dimensions | Orange icon 📐 | Click on the icon to enter the dimensions. |
⚠️ The button “Confirm” will remain disabled until all products have valid dimensions.

6. Select Temporary Location (TL)
Within the modal, you must indicate in which Temporary Location (TL) The products received will be stored.
You have two ways to do it:
- Using the selector: Search and select the TL from the drop-down list.
- Scanning the TL code: Scans a formatted code
TLxfollowed by the number (e.g:TLx15). The system will select it automatically.
Once selected, you will see a blue box confirming your choice (example: “Selected: TL-15”).
⚠️ If the scanned TL does not exist, the system will display a warning message.
7. Confirm Master Box
Press the button “Confirm” to process the reception.
The button will be enabled only when:
- You have selected a Temporary Location.
- All products have valid dimensions (if validation applies).
When you confirm, the system automatically:
- Register all products as received.
- Assigns them to the selected Temporary Location.
- Sends the information to the server.
If you wish to cancel, press “Cancel” and the modal will close without making any changes.
Important notes
- If you scan a Master Carton into the wrong box, the system will alert you with the following modal “Products Not Found”. Close the modal and check the box before retrying.
- Dimensions must be recorded before confirming. If several products have pending dimensions, please complete all of them before trying to confirm.
- Once the Master Box has been confirmed, changes cannot be undone from this screen.
